Indira IVF acquires stake in Banker IVF to expand fertility services in Gujarat

The partnership brings together over 30 years of clinical expertise and expands Indira IVF’s footprint across Ahmedabad and key cities in the state

Indira IVF Hospital has entered into an agreement to acquire a stake in Banker Healthcare, a fertility centre based in Ahmedabad. This collaboration strengthens Indira IVF’s presence across Gujarat, adding to its existing centres in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Mehsana and other locations. The development aims to enhance the accessibility of fertility care across the state.

Banker IVF, headquartered in Ahmedabad, has over three decades of clinical experience in supporting individuals and couples through assisted reproductive treatments, including those with complex medical histories or prior procedures. Following the acquisition, Banker IVF will continue operations under its existing identity, supported by Indira IVF’s technological systems and broader regional reach.

Dr. Manish Banker and his clinical team will continue to offer assisted reproductive technology (ART) and IVF services. Dr Banker will also take on the role of Chief Clinical Mentor at Indira IVF. In this capacity, he will provide clinical guidance, share insights across the Indira IVF network, and support initiatives aimed at strengthening patient care practices.

“This collaboration represents a positive step in our continued efforts to make fertility care more accessible while upholding high clinical standards. Banker IVF brings valuable experience and regional understanding that, alongside Indira IVF’s operational reach and digital capabilities, can help us strengthen our support for patients across Gujarat. We’re glad to have Dr Manish Banker associated with Indira IVF as Chief Clinical Mentor, where he will provide clinical guidance and share insights with our teams. Our shared aim is to enhance the patient journey thoughtfully and responsibly,” said Dr Kshitiz Murdia, CEO and Whole-Time Director, Indira IVF.

Dr Manish Banker, Director, Banker IVF, stated, “At Banker IVF, our goal has always been to offer patient-centric fertility care informed by clinical experience and individual needs. Joining hands with Indira IVF opens new opportunities to scale our impact while continuing to uphold the quality and integrity that define our practice. This collaboration brings together two institutions with shared values and complementary strengths, creating a platform to advance fertility care in Gujarat and beyond. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of care while evolving to meet our patients’ growing and diverse needs.”

This move comes as Gujarat records a 7 per cent decline in child population over the past decade, based on data from the state government. Factors such as higher marriage age, delayed family planning, and urban lifestyle patterns have contributed to a rise in infertility challenges. The integration of Banker IVF adds to the availability of structured, evidence-based fertility care in response to these changes.

Indira IVF now operates in over 150 locations across India. The organisation continues to focus on expanding into new regions while maintaining a standardised approach to clinical protocols and patient care.
